So I had this dream that my boyfriend (J.S.) got in a car accident or something and ended up in an emergency room. In the dream I rushed to the hospital and ran down the hallways to his room. When I went into the room my aunt and uncle were standing on the side of his bed where his IV bag was. My cousin (J.G.) and his girlfriend (K.L.) were standing other other side. I wasn’t really acknowledging anyone else in the room when I walked in. My eyes were focused on J.S.
I tried walking to the side my cousin was on so I could get closer to my boyfriend but K.L. was in the way. I said, “Excuse me.” politely but not with very much emotion.
“No,” she told me. My head instantly snapped towards her.
“Wait, what?” I asked confused.
“I said no. Now leave.” I gave her a puzzled look. “No!” I almost laughed.
“Get out of here.”
“No, he’s my boyfriend. I’m not leaving.”
“Well he’s my big brother and I said you need to leave.”
“Excuse me?” If I wasn’t so freaked out about my boyfriend laying in that hospital bed I would have blown up on her, but I didn’t.
I looked her dead in the eye and spoke in one of those ‘I’m very mad and the only way you can tell is by how scary calm I am when I speak.’ type voices.
I said, “If that was J.G. I might have walked out of this room, but only out of respect for him. But that’s not the case. That’s J.S. in that bed. That’s MY boyfriend in that bed, not yours. You have no right controlling who comes in this room, let alone telling me to leave MY boyfriends hospital room just because you don’t like me. J.G. is my cousin. We’re family. We’re going to be around each other whether you like it or not. You can bitch J.G. out all you want about me parking infront of his house, or hanging out there because I’m with family. You can tell him that he can’t be around J.S. if I’m around. you can do whatever. That’s your business in your relationship. But you have no fucking say in J.S.’s life nor his relationship. So if you’re going to sit here and try to tell me to leave just because you have some petty little grudge….Then YOU can leave. Like I said, the man laying in that bed is MY boyfriend, not yours. If you can’t stand to be around me there’s the door.”
Before she could reply my cousin grabbed K.L. and started pushing her out into the hallway.
Then I woke up.

The scariest part of all wasn’t seeing my boyfriend ;laying in a hospital bed. It’s the fact that I know that something like this would happen in this situation. I don’t know if I would be THAT calm, but I know she would try to kick me out of the room. Funny how your dreams can tell you things or even show you how a situation could go down before the situation even arises.
